El Tigre Waterfalls

El Tigre Waterfalls is a private reserve managed by the Rodríguez family, who have transformed their passion for nature and agriculture into a mission of conservation and reforestation. Located in the heart of Monteverde, this reserve encompasses 60 hectares (148 acres) of protected forest in the area known as Los Bajos del Tigre.

The history of El Tigre Waterfalls dates back to 1985, when the family faced challenges with jaguars, often called tigers (""tigres"" in Spanish), attacking their livestock. Since then, they have dedicated 80% of their farm to reforestation efforts and actively participate in projects to protect the wild feline population in the region.

El Tigre Waterfalls offers an authentic connection with nature, allowing visitors to explore the rich biodiversity of the tropical forest while learning about the importance of conservation and sustainability in a warm, family-friendly environment.
